Reduce the risk of redesign

Redesign is a risky business, minimise that risk
So often we hear companies say they want to overhaul their site. The safest way to make changes on your site is to change small things one by one and test them. But, we know that isn’t always practical and the desire to design whole new pages is real.
Redesigns often replicate the same problems the existing page has, just with a nicer appearance. Or they generate new issues when overcoming old ones. That’s why CRO Design by Credo exists, to help protect you from making redesign mistakes.
CRO Design uses the same principles of CRO, combining them into designs that have a much greater chance of converting. UX design is combined with CRO copywriting, user psychology, and CRO best practice to deliver designs with a solid foundation.
If you’re ready to take the plunge into redesign, make sure you have CRO Design to back you up.

CRO Design - FAQs
CRO Design could be the right choice if you have plans to overhaul your site. This might be because you have had your site audited and feel there are too many changes to make one-by-one, or you might just know you need to start again by instinct.
If you have low traffic volumes which could mean testing doesn’t progress fast enough for you then CRO Design could also be the way to go. Although testing is what we recommend, the reality is that not every site has the traffic volumes to deliver meaningful results within a couple of months and this might be too long for you to wait.
CRO Design offers you the opportunity to get the impact of elements created for CRO testing, without the need for testing. It also allows you to fix issues at scale rather than one at a time and see how a whole page or flow could look when put together.
CRO Design is right for companies where testing is impractical. If you have the traffic volumes which mean tests can conclude in a reasonable amount of time (approximately a month), then it is best to follow a test-and-learn process rather than do a complete redesign.
We typically say that we are looking for 10,000 views of a variation in testing before making a decision (although this can vary). If you would be able to accommodate this within a month, then we recommend our full service CRO instead.
Although having a CRO Audit isn’t a requirement of hiring us to do your design work, it is very helpful. This is because our audits don’t just point out issues, but make suggestions for changes which can then be incorporated into your redesigns.
However, a Mini-Audit which simply focuses on suggestions for the pages you want to focus on could be more appropriate for you than a full audit. A Mini-Audit gives similar in-depth insights to a full audit, except analytics and user behaviour tracking data is omitted. A detailed heuristic walkthrough of your core user flows is informed by CRO best practices, user psychology, and experience of running user research. It is this walkthrough that forms the basis of the design decisions to be made.
Mini-Audits are typically cheaper than full CRO Audits (which range from £2,500-£5,000) and can give our designers an extra leg up when it comes to immersing themselves in your site.
The cost of your project will depend entirely on the scope. For example, if you would like help building a landing page and a cart page, this would cost more than just a landing page, but the impact could be greater. We will work with you to define a scope and provide you with a bespoke proposal based on that scope.
If you choose to have a CRO Audit before design work is carried out, these typically cost £2,500-£5,000. A Mini-Audit which focuses exclusively on providing suggestions for improving your site (or key pages) has a lower price point and could be a better fit for you if you are thinking of making big changes.
The best way for you to get a quote is to get in touch with us using the form below.
We like to really get to know you before we jump into design, so we take the time to meet with you and immerse ourselves in your site. For this reason we don’t take on very small projects. If you have a series of smaller elements you would like help with (such as a form, a hero section, and a product information section) then we are happy to accommodate this.
